  • audi 80 motor conversion

    Hello Audi friends after a long time back and forth I decided now to make a motor conversion. a good known of me has an audio coupe type 89. the engine in the vehicle is a 5 cylinder 136ps. for little money I can have the part, because the car has a rear damage and several damage to wheel runs, body etc.. the engine itself has just limped 160,000 km on the clock, since before the accident a replacement engine came in (was only a few thousand km installed). the 1.8er is too sluggish for me and I drove a 5 cylinder sample and was very enthusiastic (especially of the incomparable sound). can you give me a few good advices for the conversion. what I also saw is that the engine bearings have to be rewelded. what do I actually have to rebuild everything? mfgg

  • 2.5TDi starts, goes out, extreme soot formation!

    Servus dear forum! I gave my hot-loved C4 nem colleague today, he comes back tonight, it clacks out of the engine room.. I turned him off and let him go again, he starts off again, he doesn’t react to the pedal at all… After 5-10 times he arrives.. After another 3-seconds he picks up gas and runs as usual, however, he leaves off a 3x3m soot cloud… Only with these clackers… I checked the injection pump tooth strap, tension is already ok… The whole thing is only when it’s cold!!! If he already runs as always, he starts off once GANZ short and then runs optimally… Except for ugly metallic clackers… That would not even bother me with the start, but this crappy clacking? Do you have a guess? Get him read out in the store tomorrow… I am grateful for every tip!

  • Prius III – 2010 – 40 000 km

    Hello, Since my motion profile has changed, I am looking for a suitable vehicle. Before 20 to 30 minutes on the road, it is now only 5 km which in a good 7-10 minutes. I do not know if it is advisable to expect this to be my thick diesel. Now I have found a PRIUS 3 in full equipment at a Toyota dealer. I like the car. It is from 06/2010, has not yet 40 000 km down and is very well maintained. Except a few scratches the car seems to be good in shot. Price should be 12000 EUR. My questions: Prius 2010 full equipment from 2010 with 40 000 km with 1 year warranty – Is the 12 000 Eur worth ? Does the Prius take such short distances ? The car does not have many km , but nevertheless a certain age . Do you have to think about it ? Do you see at the battery test if the battery has been discharged deep times ? Is it, if a hybrid is suitable, not more advisable to buy a slightly younger one for the 20 000 Eur ? Thanks for constructive posts GH

  • Prius engine runs under 65km/h without any idle task.

    The throttle valve stop in older Prius2 can be adjusted beyond 100000km. Cause of slightly increased idle speed due to increased leakage air via the throttle valve shaft. Remove air filter box. Unlock throttle valve stop magnifying screw 8er nut, turn out until throttle valve closes tightly. Plug air filter box roughly on. Drive system up to parking, press gas briefly until engine starts and wait until it runs out again. Appears error throttle valve hangs, delete error memory e.g. with AUTO Dia SX40. Not without diagnostic device perfekt, because engine sets itself on dead, and calls after the workshop. Stepwise magnifying screw 1/2 to 3/4 revolution turn in and repeat until error no longer appears. Thus, the engine is set up at every take away from the gas below 65km/h again. Stop the throttle valve is set at me to approx. 750U/min, in order to switch off again under 990U/min, over again the engine runs empty. Diagnosis device the first time, if throttle flap is set as an enormous number of light.

  • Smart hardly takes gas.

    Hi guys, I don’t like to open a new topic, but the Sufu didn’t get much out of it. My Smart Fortwo, BJ:1999, just 58 Tkm 40 HP CDI. Ok. To my problem. Monday morning at 10 degrees outside temperature started, shortly afterwards 500m further, the Smart didn’t take any gas, so engine switched off, restarted problem away. Today at 0 degrees car has been through all night and day, then tonight Smart started, gave gas, my opinion he takes quite sporadic gas, drove off, that confirmed still my feeling. After a good 500m is then quite normal and good gas accepted. until I was back again. Without any problems. I only had read Smart since November. I had read fault memory only a few days before, nothing has to read out again tomorrow. WEil I have a error memory read out at home. Maybe someone, give me a hint what it might be, or something else. I also know that there aren’t so many CDI drivers.

    hello your dear smart driver =) had until recently a mazda rx-8 with 231 ps. the sporschlitten swallowed well and liked 17 liters super! these times should be over now and I want to get a smart for two from the year of construction 2003. have me now really good in the topic but have still the one or other question. 1.Did the 698 ccm engines also have a turbocharger? 2.I read again and again : if ́s a already 450s must be, then at least the 698 ccm engine because the 599s tend to motor damage faster. so far as well, don ́t want to do without esp anyway, therefore only the engine comes into question. however up to what run performance I can buy a stacked car, if it still should run at least 30 000 km without engine or gear damage? ( yes, I know, no very high claim – because I will study the next years, would be a half-character in this case, but I ́m sure not interested in the usual way.

  • Question for test drive

    Good evening, I’ve been playing with the idea of buying a smart for a long time, but I’m always thinking about whether a new (from BJ 2007) or an older (from BJ 2003). Today I drove with a Smart BJ 2003 Passion to the rehearsal. From the outside the car looked okay (some scratches and signs of wear), only from the inside, rather gammelig and dirty (especially the seats). Drive itself was good, seemed like in a Go Kart 😉 . When changing gear it always jerked a little, but is probably normal, also the driving noises are loud, but with the size probably normal. What do you experts mean, is a BJ 2003 Passion worth? 115 000 KM (the car is from the acquaintance circle, the owner is on vacation, the friend told me that the owner probably wants something with 3500 euros, which is quite “overdrawn” me) Thank you LG Marie

  • Still problems with the automatic system (Aui80)

    Hello I turn to you again. So….I had my automatic gearbox repaired, in December 2010. But the error always comes up for……I drive over 60kmh, and when I brake or take my foot off the gas there is a slight jerk at 50kmh(there he would have to switch back a gang), as soon as that happens he doesn’t turn up anymore, then I have to turn the car right and turn it off again and then it goes again. Now he was already 4 times in this workshop where the gearbox was repaired and they always fix what the error occurs again and again, but that doesn’t every day. At the last time the fault memory said ABS sensor….he was then switched and they said that it should be now…but I had the same error now already … error memory in my workshop is not read out?… gang monitoring error code 652. Now my question can be that it is again my automatic transmission, because someone else said it was so and that it was paid as if the top gear was not going through this week.

    hallihallo, at the boschdienst I had a stand-up in my 2010ér cdi smart installed. now he was already the fourth time back there, because only cold air comes out. I start the engine, comes out immediately really warm air. lastly you changed the water pump in the stand-up because they thought the pump was not working properly. tja,beim testlauf came already after 10 minutes warm air,but tried again this morning and it came back only cold air. what can be the mistake?? or can I have the stand-up re-extend and get the money back?

  • Climate and fuel consumption

    Hi Leuts, has someone here a clue what such a climate in the switched off condition makes of more consumption? Have in my Avant ne climate, no automatic, in it (was apparently retrofitted by a previous owner, because VAG has no documents about it according to chassis no.). The thing is with me anyway most of the time out of operation, unless it gets really unbearably hot. Since no automatic machine, the thing is used therefore only in the summer, in the winter is conventionally heated. Is now just the question, what the compressor in idle, thus switched off climate still eats in power and fuel. Consideration is to put on the belts to the climate then really only over the summer months …….. my contribution to relieve the environment …….. or also my money bag The search function unfortunately has nothing to do with this topic.
