    Hi, my name is Alex and I’m new to this forum. I’m currently driving an Opel Corsa D with 70 Ps from 2013. I’m 38 years old as a and living in Horst/Elmshorn. I/we are my fiancée and I’m looking for a Zafira for our little family consisting of my fiancée and my 3 stepchildren. Looking for the right Zafira we’ve come across the Omega, an old childhood dream of mine. I’ve dreamed of having it since the Omega there. But I/we’re a little uncertain and therefore I’m going to turn to the forum: I have a few questions to ask: does it make sense to get an Omaga, or is it just too old and are therefore the repair costs simply too high? how reliable is the one-size battleship of Opel ? how much should you spend on it to get a nice Omega and reliable one? We’re looking for an Omaga with automatic and as diesel as well as we’ve found the nice ones in the week.

    Hi, I’ve been looking for a long time in the net but I haven’t found an exact answer. My question is probably not new. I’m about to bring my Ford Transit back to the front. I’m doing this for the first time and I’m confused about the different statements. My plan currently looks like this: 1. rust spots blank sanding with sandpaper 2. Place with silicone removal clean up 3. Place glue off 4. And here comes the cracking point. I don’t have a spray gun or compressor. I’ve made good experience with “Rostegal” with the frame of my trailer so I would like to use it here as well. This is available in the spray can. Can I take this or should I rather buy a bucket and apply it with a brush? Since the car is not a beauty I don’t have to renew before the original paint. For the renewal of the underfloor protection I already ordered Permafilm and Fluid Film Liquid A, should I just use it for the rust spots too? Or should I use something completely different?

  • How to handle rust converters?

    Hello, I am now planning to treat my rock impact grating on the bonnet at the end of the week. I was advised to tackle the problem with rust converter. The day before yesterday I had taken the rust converter from Hammerite (can still be changed) and wanted to ask how I should proceed now. My thought was: sand off the rust spot with lubricating gel paper. Then let the rust converter on it and dry out. Now my question is: If you make the rust converter again and then make primer on it or can you just paint over it with the paint pen via the Hammerite rust converter? Because on the package it doesn’t matter that there is a primer in it. Would I be happy for advice. MfG, Ivo.

  • Ignition oscillation and unround running on the 2.8 AAH engine

    Hello, you know, I’ve been having the problem for a few days now that the 2.8 AAH engine of my Audi C4 Bj 1996 only performs the service with ignition dropouts. The problem suddenly came up, I thought of a madder damage first and I checked the ignition cables and could not detect a real error, nevertheless I renewed it once, but no improvement. The spark plugs are in good condition. Meanwhile, however, I no longer believe in a direct ignition problem, because the fuel consumption has increased enormously. If it were a carburetor engine I would say it runs too fat. It sounds as if an old US-V8 had been installed, it bubbling on the exhaust. The idle control works normally, who I switch on the climate, regulates the idleness upwards. An observation: right after the start it seems to run completely normal, after a few seconds I hear a click down the left side of the footroom and then it runs completely unround, some ignitions seem to be missing, or in the much too fat mixture just stopped. But as said, the ignition is not quite normal, but the driver may not be able to jump.
