Still I drive my Prelude VTI (Bj98), but a car purchase is coming soon. Used car purchase in customer order – Defects
Good evening, I need your help. I bought a Smart 450 first registration 2005 on Monday. I bought this one from a dealer. However, this one sold the Smart in the customer order. Now I have found several defects. The Smart is probably leaking, because the footroom on the passenger side is wet. Since the battery was changed from the workshop, the workshop manager explained with the workshop manager that it has already noticed during the service. For 2 days now the Smart is jerking when starting up and the engine control light lights throughout. I know that there is no guarantee at the private sale. The dealer or also previous owner does not want to improve of course. However, in the contract is a reference to a property defect liability of 1 year (see picture). Now I need your help. How much you this: is a repair or return according to the contract right? Thank you?

Spark plug change only at 100,000km?
At least that’s what the maintenance book says, starting with a certain engine number … In the course of the last inspection at 88,000km, a mechanic wanted to look at a spark plug, but didn’t get up the screw of the ignition coil. They look really gammelig out … see pictures. At about 6,000km of annual drive I could just drive for two years now, but what do the screws look like then? Or maybe even now prefer the spark plug change? And which candles then take? Again those that hold 100,000km? Or rather which ones that would be due after 40,000km or in my case every 6 years?

155/60R15 on the HA for a short time?
Hello forum, the Smart 451 with the tyres VA 155 and HA 175, should get all-weather tires. Since my wife is driving only relatively short distances, I would like to keep a 155er as a spare wheel. I don’t think of these breakdown sets and most of the time she is not so far away that you could not drive with the spare wheel to her. Taking with you would be silly. Now my question: Is it technically possible to drive the 155er for a few kilometers on the rear axle? With my Astra with 245er is also such an emergency bike, which is even narrower than the 155er from the Smart and is allowed. Can anyone say anything about this?

SMART 451 MHD SCHALTPROBLEME (NRW)
Meals together, I’m new here in the forum and despair so slowly. I have a Smart 451 2010 MHD and this one is now really worrying me. To the problem: Regularly jumps out during the drive the gear or unplugs the car simply off or occasionally it just stays stuck in some gear and switches neither up nor down. What I have done up to now: New clutch + actuator, cable and plug checked, mass connections checked, gears learned (unfortunately not with Star diagnosis). When all this did not work out, I got an accident and exchanged further parts: GSG, gear, partly cable tree etc.! Also the battery is new but still it always hits this error again and again… Does someone have a similar problem or a tip or idea for me? Ideally it would be if someone from the area Dortmund/Unna could help me. Maybe someone near a Star Diagnosis device!? I’m curious about your answers and would really be happy about help! Currently no errors filed in the STG but then P08 is always present and sometimes there too.

CR-V 2007/2.0 disc brakes front.
Hello! a car has now (normal driving mode) ~ 15000 km on the speedometer, I looked at the brake discs in front and had to notice with horror that on both sides already some of the discs to the surface. On the outer edges (inside and outside, left and right!) a approx. 2mm high edge can be seen and felt! With my old CR-V (1997er) was not at 165000 km a massive edge to notice, which is probably due to my calm driving way. Furthermore the aluminium rims after the clean 2 days later are again black, my old CR-V had apparently coverings which do not cause black abrasion. Greeting

Fuel consumption Honda CR-V 2.0i ELEGANCE AT with horse trailer
I’m also an enthusiastic fan of the CR-V. I’m interested in fuel consumption when I pull a horse trailer with one or two horses. For the AT version there should be an AHK to allow the TÜV pflüft 2000 Kg. Since my Honda dealer has an import vehicle 23980 with a price advantage of 800€, only this would come into question, since he can not offer the diesel nearer to this price with the equipment as I would like it to. In the forum I found only the consumption with caravan and diesel engine. I calculate thus with 11-12 liters mainly land road.

dripping tailgate when opening
Hello CR-V municipality, during the Honda breakfast on 16.01.2010 I was “burdened” by the dripping tailgate at my new CR-V 2.4. With my old CR-V the rear door went up sideways. With the new one the flap goes up. If it has rained, it drips down from above. This is especially annoying when it is about dirty water. The workshop master told me that there is a circular letter from Honda, in which remedy is communicated by a rubber lip. Yesterday my Honda workshop installed such a rubber lip free of charge. Now the water runs down sideways and you can actually put yourself under the open rear door without getting wet. Problem with jack: CR-V jumps off the rack!
Hello, I recently changed tyres with my CR-V, so I mounted the car with the original jack enough, wheel down (without violence) and then it happened: the jack slipped away and went off with the car down. Luckily I mounted the pedals on my SUV, so that the jack could narrow down there and did not land on the brake disc. Has any of you ever happened something similar? My CR-V was of course on a level road and the jack was also in the right place and correctly positioned. I didn’t change tyres for the first time. In the future I will use my shunting truck lifter, but what happens if a plate happens on the way? I will then call the ADAC and deposit a different jack in the car than the original one for safety!

High fuel consumption
Hello, I’m doing this the way this is usually done. *ironiemode_an* My engine consumes a lot of petrol. My neighbor’s consumes less. Strangely, it only consumes a lot when I drive with it. I haven’t tried the search function yet, others can do that for me. Should I now increase the air pressure or can it be due to other things. I assume the noise development from the engine room that the running engine has something to do with it. Should I turn it off? Has anyone ever done this before? I’m really desperate….
