  • Clio GT TCe 120 EDC ec automatic with problems

We have a Clio GT TCe 120 EDC ec with automatic & shift paddles on the steering wheel. In addition to minor problems, the gearbox switches abruptly in the acceleration phase to Neutral. As a result, you have to stop the vehicle and then put the gear back in and have to start again. This happened now 5 times, the vehicle was 3 times to troubleshoot the dealer without success, because the electronics do not store any errors. Who has similar experience here?

  • Temperature display and air conditioning

Hello municipality, since yesterday I have a problem with the air conditioning on my 97er 2,3l Scorpio. It does not start, i.e. the switch lamp works as if everything is ok, but de facto the climate compressor does not start, i.e. there is nothing to hear that it turns on. At the same time I have for a long time the problem, that my temperature indicator rises perhaps briefly to the middle, but otherwise nevertheless on normal journey – no matter whether on the highway m The average to high speed or in the city or on the country road – only at the lower end of the scale dumps in front, sometimes just above the blue range goes up to the lower part of the white normal marking, but falls again after about 10 seconds. After a short service life, e.g. with a slightly longer red phase at the traffic light, the temperature indicator rises up to the middle. It doesn’t matter whether the climate is switched on or not. rlüfter usually run very easily with the switched on climate, but switch off as soon as the climate is switched off. At summer temperatures it takes of course accordingly longer to switch off – as far as everything is normal, I think. I had already suspected the temperature sensor, but now, where the air conditioning suddenly seems to no longer work – air conditioning service was made only a few weeks ago, so it can not be – I also think about the Water pump, after all, the car is now almost 12 years old and has run almost 173000. Know Wapu problems actually only in the sense that the temperature suddenly shoots up and can hardly be gotten down again, had the problem with my Scorpio I from 1988. That took weeks until they found the error at that time, because it always appeared sporadic. However, it was – as already mentioned, too hot. The problem is not now. Maybe you know jem and from you advice and can give me a hint where that might be. – I am grateful for any reasonable suggestion. Greeting Lutz

  • A question of color

Hello! Can someone tell me where to find the color code for my Scorpio? Would be great if someone could give me a few tips. Besides, I would have a question in this context: I always felt a bit strange that the name for my vehicle color in the vehicle license is indicated with “grey”. As the attached photo shows quite well, you need a little more imagination to see a “grey” in the color of my Scorpio. Now I was told by j Is that really so? Don’t you need to note this in the papers when you repainted your car? And are there possibly places where I can find a repainting without doubt? Things where the paint could still be so perfect, but which always reveal when a car has been repainted? For example, I’ve already solved a few sealing rubbers and looked after them. aut, if something is to be noticed. So far, however, nothing of a subsequent painting was to be discovered. But maybe someone knows, in which one can always recognize this. For help I would be very grateful!

  • Help! Automatic or manual transmission?

Hello dear Ford driver, can one tell me if the gearbox on the picture is an automatic or manual transmission? Need an automatic transmission for my Scorpio II (Bj. 97) 2.3 16V. Hope you can help me. Greetings!

  • Ford Scorpio 2.3 Tournament/Cylinder Head Seal???

Hello, I bought a 97 Ford Scorpio 2.3 tournament Ghia automatic on the weekend. The car ran 204.000 KM and the engine runs super quiet and clean, transmission switches clean, everything wonderful! We are not driving much more, much short distance, but space for children and prams had to be already, therefore the ship, which was also super cheap in somewhat maintenance condition. Now I noticed that the compensation tank for the cooling water empties very quickly, a I have not been able to see that the oil level is not too high. Has anyone had an idea or experience? Could it be the cylinder head gasket? But then the water would get into the oil cycle and the oil would be watery and the oil level too high or not? Both not the case! Please ask for your tips, thank you! Oh yes, and if someone has experience how expensive the fun (in the free screwdriver) is, I am grateful for your answers! Many greetings from Dortmund

  • Change bumper Renault Clio 2

Hello guys, I have the following problem. My bumper is pulled out by a small accident and has to be replaced. Since my Clio is already 13 years old, I don’t really need original parts. I would also need needed or “favorable” parts. The problem is that I don’t know what I need everything. Sure the bumper and the trims, but is there even more? Do I also need new fenders? I am absolutely clueless. I drive a RENAULT Clio II hatchback 1.5 dCi (B/CB08) (first authorisation 02.2005, 82 hp)

  • Retrogression of the radiator fan Clio IV tce 1.2

Hello, I am new here in the forum and also proud new owner of a Clio 4 Bose Edition with the 1.2 liter tce motor. The year of construction is 11/ 2017. Now my question, because I could not find anything in the forum and I have no such comparisons to previous cars. That with some cars the radiator fans after turning off the engine (must) lightens me, however, I feel this with the Clio as quite long and also as very often. Even when driving in the evening without traffic jam (without lan At 18 degrees outside temperature the car has to ventilate for 5-10 minutes. What do you say about it or how does your car behave? Furthermore, I noticed that the start/stop automatic does not stop the engine even though I drove a long distance yesterday, can this be related to the engine cooling? The climate was then disabled in the evening, which would have prevented it from turning off in an understandable way. I would be very happy about you. Maybe I know then if I have to pay a visit at the friendly one, not that it comes on the holiday trip in summer to the bad or hot surprise. Greetings from Dresden

  • Change Clio 3 brakes in the rear

Hello, someone has a tip for me like me on my Clio 3 Bj 12/2006 1.5 dci completely change the brakes at the rear. I have already changed some brakes, but with the baby hangs still the wheel bearing on it and the ABS ring. Is there somewhere a useful guide or maybe something special to consider. I will do everything new I think, because I find the most disks where the bearing and sensor ring are already on. I’m not sure if I better take the whole kit or if I want to What do you think? Thank you for your Hifle already. Greetz The Paintballer

  • Active sub under seat in the convertible

Hello together, in my convertible I want to help sound a little bit. However, only to a small extent, so only a light bass support and maybe another front system – if that is worth the effort at all. Currently the gamma is in it – and that should stay it. I like the original optics very much and want to keep it if possible. Then maybe will use either the mobile phone as MP3Player – or a separate MP3Player as music source. I dac ht now just to bring in a little more fullness by means of a simple active sub. I looked around a bit and find either the Pioneer TS-WX11A or the TS-WX22A quite nice. Both lie with around the 130€. Wouldn’t be a big effort to install that accordingly. The WX22 is certainly the more powerful sub, but with a height of 11cm probably too big, for under the seat. So had to wander into the trunk and would probably lose a lot of effect accordingly. The WX11 has a height of 80mm – could it fit? I’ve searched the whole MT and it was partly recommended. Did you have a closer experience with this thing – and above all, someone knows if the thing fits under the seat? Alternatives to that? Would I be happy about a few tips. But please don’t suggest 1000€ conversions, because if I want to listen to music, I’ll take my A4 It’s really only about a small sound improvement on simply The way. Greetings Jürgen
