  • Saab 9-3 + Viggen springs

Report My brainwashed 9-3 received Philips used Viggen springs and I wanted to summarize: My problem with original suspension* was that the car shuddered on ground waves (Lebensungsstraße Berlin-Tiergarten) and narrower motorway curves with over 200 km/h gave me a very uncertain impression as a vehicle driver. Admittedly subjective, but I think every average driver would experience this the same way. So Philips used Viggen wheels r One and: SUPER! Very, very nice steering and balancing behavior. The springs are not (!) deeper than the originals. Also traffic calming measures (Berlin KuFü-Straße direction Dennewitzstr.) in the form of road hubs can be mastered well. Disadvantage: The car is still very high. (photos follow) The open wheel box areas around the tires are a disappointment. Conclusion: A real retrofit recommendation for “fines of lowering”, which are looking for a better road position. of optical problems, see photo here (before Viggen): http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/521/rr6tv.jpg stelo (*Since the 16″ and 205 are a little less.)

  • better brake+tire

After a few months of work, I didn’t have time to take care of my vehicle, I finally have to get to the brakes and need help. Problem: When braking down at high speeds, I have the feeling that the front axle is flying apart. It’s incredible at the front and my box is hard to hold. I have a 9-3 aero01 with hibernating step2, but unfortunately still the original brake system. I want a reliable, well-packed Bre manlagen, which allows constantly fast driving and possibly also a short detour on the ring – my dream is to move the car there times. But only with correct brake, I by chance came across some horror pictures of Philipp’s racing and the empty brake line – so would my serial brake look after the first turn… Can anyone recommend me something? Maybe not exactly extremely expensive? (Two months ago I had an offer here from the Ru I would also be grateful for a tire tip on my Aerofelge 17”… Drive at the time 215/45 ZR17, Dunlop, but what exactly did I forget.

  • What tape pass?

hi, I would like to build a new housing for my sub (heart it 300). since I would prefer a less deep housing I thought to build the sub obliquely into the housing. thereby ask me the following questions 1. in which direction should the magnet or the membrane show? 2. how much space do I need at the closest point min between membrane and box? 3. which port should play in the direction of the ski bag, on the membrane side or on the side of the magnet? in case I’ve explained all this too stupidly I put on some basic sketches… I hope you can help me a little bit, thank you already alex

  • Program climate? What?

Hello, I’m here again. My last problem with the leaky diesel line in my 9-3 2,2 TiD was fixed very quickly, meanwhile I already got an estimate for 1x repainting bonnet again. Such a …. has cut off a smaller tree, while my beautiful Saab was not even 50cm away from it….I guess a branch fell off during the action…But that’s only on the edge. I am a computer scientist by profession and usually know me with stuff like that. Video recorders, microwaves, even a PC, everything is no problem, but the automatic climate control of a Saab 9-3 then exceeds my expectations. Had so far only ON/OFF in a climate But the curiosity drives me around and actually I can’t just leave something like that, if you can already program it Can someone call me a meaningful programming, or is the factory side already good enough? P.S. The manual of the Saab has already surprised me, normal I would have suspected 2-3 languages more in a booklet

  • Sound / speaker in 9-3

Hello Forum, I never thought it would be possible for me to be interested in Car-Hifi, but the sound system in the 9-3 (I) made it in less than a week: It just sounds grütze There were even the serial speakers in my 96 Corolla significantly better. More balanced sound bill, more pressure and more abundance, but more transparency. The Saab system sounds thin and somehow unharmonious. Question therefore: What is so bad about the built-in system, the radio or the speakers? Differently asked: Does it bring something, simply to install other loudspeakers (front, possibly only above?), or is a power amplifier mandatory? Or even another radio that I would like to avoid … Would be grateful about a few tips, would also like to know about information about the speaker exchange, if useful (type, size – am an absolute layman in this regard) Merci Seb.

  • A new one…

… with a few questions presents itself. So not I am the freshling, have already asked here and received many answers (thanks again!), but my Saabinchen is new(-used). 9-3 BJ 2001, 2.0t. I am so happy, but I still have a few questions: Topic Traction Control TCS: In the manual it says that this is an option – and immediately at least the corresponding switch is missing. I thought that is in general – wrong? Can you retrofit the w Thema Warndreieck/Verbandskasten: Do Saab veterans have a tip, where best with it? In the trunk one goes *joy*. Thema knarzen from behind:It sounds like it comes from the area of the antenna – can that be the well-known rear seat knarzer? How do I fix it? Thema SID: Is still fine, i.e.: No pixel errors. Makes sense to approach the “foam modification” already now, so that all pixels are preserved, or better “if it is w oks, don’t fix it”? Topic Tempomat: Retrofitting is easily possible if I have the flash stick exchanged or replaced – right or wrong? Where can I get a corresponding part? Topic Middle armrest: Where, what’s the price, what’s the fit? The same applies to a beautiful leather switch bag – the rubber is not very nice … can I change it myself, or do I have to put the switch button away? Topic Mobile phone: The multi-function steering wheel has a telephone button – in what way pre-equipment So, many questions, but hopefully many answers? Thank you very much Seb.

  • 900 II, door lock rear left broken – who knows what?

Hello, since the day before yesterday, unfortunately a door lock on our 900 II 2,3 SE – BJ 96 is defective. If you open the left, rear door, you can no longer close it after that, i.e. the locking mechanism in the door is apparently stuck in the wrong position and then beat hard against the locking device, if you want to close the door – the door does not fall into the lock and can not be closed completely. With a little grope you get the bar with the screwdriver again. n the right position, so that the door closes again – the game starts again from the front at the next opening. Practically the whole thing happened to me for the first time the day before yesterday during the interview, so that after the conversation in a good suit I knelt around the SAAB door, when my potential boss just came out of the office 😉 I then provisionally fixed the two rear doors on the handles with a tension belt and drove home – has little At home I got it again (see above) but at the next door opening it was like before. I had already removed the door panel, but could not notice anything – but I am also no SABB lock professional and don’t really know what to look for – but would like to avoid a visit to the workshop because of such small things. Central locking and door handles inside and outside work normally. Does anyone have an idea ?? Thanks and Gruss Martin
