  • Mix all-year tyres and winter tyres: What to consider?

Dear forum, the following starting situation: car: BMW 316d from 2010, 233,000 km on the clock, approx. 20,000 annual output4 x new all-year tyres: Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons G2, all-year tyres, 205/55 R16 91H3 x used winter tyres with approx. 5-6 mm profile: NOKIAN WR D3 205/55 R16 91H One of the winter tyres had a nail in it and the friendly one told me that it was not to be repaired (nail too much on the edge). Accordingly, I only have three intact winter tyres. and: 1) Continue with GJR in winter and sell the WR 2) buy 1 or 2 new WR and change to WR completely in winter 3) In winter with a mixture of 2xGJR and 2xWR Option 1 I don’t like it, because then I would have to buy completely new tyres at 277,000 km and for the WR certainly hardly get anything. Option 2 I don’t like it either, because I have to invest in new WR now and just bought the GJR. Option 3 is therefore my current preference, as I at least do not like it, since I have to invest in new WR now and have just bought the GJR. two of the WR could still use one or two winter periods! Can I do it like this? Does any of you have experiences or recommendations for me? On which axis are the GJR and on which the WR? Safety and driving behaviour is of course not unimportant to me, so I am also a bit critical with Option 3. However, I live in the north and drive almost never stronger climbs. Many thanks to you in advance! PS: With the SuFu I could unfortunately only find very old information and also not too the concrete situation!

  • Profile resolution on new tyres?

Today I noticed profile resolutions on my winter tires, am absolutely speechless, since the tires are not mounted for 2 weeks and are brand new It is Yokohama W.drive V903, all 4 tires DOT 1615, Made in Philippines. Dangerous distance so far about 300km, of which 180 AB, rest city. No high speeds, as those were mounted on our Clio. Air pressure is minimal above factory specification, VA 2,4, HA 2,2 bar. Notable also, that it seems to concern only the rear axle. nks quite strong, back to the right less. At first glance everything is in order, for safety reasons but also from the tires times pictures. It also seems to concern only the tire outside. But just look for yourself. Someone has seen something like this before?

  • Assessment whether tyres/wheels could fit combi

Hello together, I need new tyres for my BMW 420D GC and have a question about this and hope that you can help me. I have the following rim:https://www.atu.de/…/aluett41146?… 225 tyres I get on without registration, but I would like to have the front 225er and the rear 255er (as in the summer). As a tire the Pirelli SottoZero3 comes on it. Now it says that this has to be taken off and at ATU it is said that this costs between 50-100€. the seller, that with the rims/tires combination, it will definitely become a single purchase and that is significantly more expensive. I also heard that this should fit. Now I am a little confused and wanted to hear your assessment. Sure, nobody can guarantee me anything here, but share the seller’s assessment that with the rims/tires combination on my 4s an expensive single purchase with possibly carroserie work etc. will be necessary, or the seller must TÜV reviewer probably only look at it and will approve it. Thanks and best regards n3

  • Combine winter and all-year tires

Hello, since I drive only about 5,000km per year (mainly rural road) I drove all year round with winter tyres from 2013. The car is a Honda Prelude BJ97 Now the tyres are much more driven at the front than at the back. At the front are still about 3-4mm profile on it and at the back 6mm. Could I then replace the tyres at the front with all year round tyres and continue with the winter tyres at the rear or would it be bad or completely forbidden? I think that I drive the car still about 3 years The Tüvprüfer was already enthusiastic about this.

  • Drain Escort GAL Tank

Hello fans! I would like to empty the tank at (still) our Ford Escort GAL tournament and fill the fuel in our cars. I would have to divide the gasoline between the cars, because the Escort vo was just filled with 95 km. So there should still be almost 40 liters of super in it, which would be enough to air all three cars almost completely at the current filling level. The question is: How do I do this best and most cost-effectively? I thought that I would have the fuel with canisters in d He fills the cars, my problem is how to fill the petrol as clean as possible in the canisters. One solution that I was suggested is that I have the pump pump pump supplied. So the real question is: Where can I tap? How do I guide the gasoline into the canisters? So, that was it for now. I hope you can help me.
