Hello, our “secondsaab” 9-3 is one of the last from the Anniversary Edition as standard with 17″ rims and the unspeakable 215/45 R17 tyres from Pirelli. The “qualities” of the tire have been discussed here in the forum several times, keyword sawtooth. Now a new set of tires is due with us, but the 215/45 is much more expensive than the more common size 225/45, which would also fit on the rims. With our 9-5 this combination is standard. New LMM – changed due to defect – and air filter also renewed. A new ignition coil in it, the other was still ok. I ordered a few new spark plugs -Original Motorcraft this time – and will change them. But if that’s not the case, I don’t know. Besides ic h somehow the feeling that he sometimes doesn’t pull properly, as if he was driving with braked foam and someone takes away 5 or 10 HP, which I can’t really explain to myself. Search Scorpio 2.3 Spare part Cooling water collector Built 97
hello Fordgemeinden, sorry, if double posting. I had overlooked the section “Scorpio” and already posted before. I don’t find the posting…. I’m new in the forum and urgently looking for the 2.3 engine, year 1997, the “cool water collector” at the top left of the engine (my interpretation of this part). The housing has broken open at the top (see photo) and water gushed out. See also representation from the service book of the Scorpio. Search is needed because maybe the whole e engine is almost gone, the workshop does not want to install a new part with the risk that everything will end up on the scrap. Can you upgrade / upgrade 92 Scorpio Reimport(F) without a cat to G-Kat ?
Hello people ! Have a special question again : Since I live quite close to the border area to France , I have bought these days a Scorpio 1b from May 92 . 165’Km , Dohc engine but zero and nothing to see from the catalyst . No one inside ! I now have several possibilities : a) the part either simply stand and let become old . b) Sell it again within France (CT valid until September ) . c) The long not dead part as French driving and me German from U I wanted to know at the last point (founded) if it is only possible to upgrade a Scorpio built for export (in Cologne) at least to Euro 1 (and then possibly later by KLR to Euro2 – na logo!) based on suitable spare/donor parts? Are the suitable cable trees there at all? How does it look with’m control ga guesses out ? Or could it possibly still be to all abundance that the export – Dohc should get only faded fuel with which basically this machine should be replaced already…?! The car runs perfectly and was brought to me before even about 65Km on the highway. The chassis number is: WF0AXXGAGA NG91544 For suitable own experiences on the topic already many thanks !

Scorpio not to save?
Hello, I have a 95 Scorpio 2, which has an automatic transmission damage. (strong jerking when switching) Now I have a replacement operation (from accident car) installed, which has exactly the same defect, which switches even worse. When starting up I always think, someone bangs on it at the back. I am with my nerves at the end. And having the transmission repaired by far exceeds the value of the car, since nobody does that appear under 1000 €. In this condition I can d I don’t understand why there’s hardly any way to get the gearbox repaired cheaply. The car has an individual value for me. I feel abandoned by Ford because they can’t do anything, they say. (except to offer a gearbox for 3000 €) The automatic transmissions are just broken from 80,000. Diplomat retrofitting electric window lifter
I am in the process of retrofitting my 77 Diplomat (Diploral) 2.8E with electric window lifters. I have the original window lifters plus the cable set available. I did this work already in 1984. At that time however with the advantage that the donor vehicle showed me the exact procedure. I will replace the still missing switches first with switches from another vehicle. Unfortunately, no holes were drilled in vehicles with crank drives. the body, so that I had to re-drill it. With 8 holes not always easy, because actually the doors have to be unscrewed, in order to pierce the holms of the A and B pillars correctly. The cable set is from the younger models with switch set in the center console. I have created a specially made schematic as well as detailed conversion instructions.
