Threatening engine damage Clio 3 1.2 TCE?
Since mileage 40 tkm my engine burns oil, now with 170 tkm it is approx. 1.8 liters/3 tkm. You can see from time to time blue smoke clouds when accelerating. On a cylinder the compression is probably not as great anymore and he has lost power too. I guess my engine will not take part for long and have made a search for a submersible engine. Who installs it and what can it cost, can not estimate it at all. Does anyone have an idea?

Unexplained leak in the gearbox
Hello together, I have a problem. My Clio 2 with 1.2 l 16 V and 75 hp has a leak on the gearbox. I determined this on Monday, changed on it all rubber parts (folding bellows, axle cuffs). This morning I see again a few drops of transmission oil on my parking space. Where they come from, I don’t know. Does an oilproof additive also help with the gearbox??? I am looking for a cheap option!!! I can’t afford a workshop, I have been working for more than three years. Incapacitated, get only social benefits because it is still not clear whether I will be available again to the labour market in the foreseeable future or not. Therefore I roll as well as I can around the car myself To get to the doctors and the therapies I am dependent on the car, would be happy if I got here quick tips greeting Michael

Clio 1.2 16V / BJ 2003 / 160t km / Is a timing belt still worth changing?
Hello together, maybe my question sounds a bit strange but I’m looking forward to your opinions: I’m actually very satisfied with my Clio and so far no big expenses have been due. Now, however, the question is slowly whether I should invest the investment of a new timing belt at a BJ 2003 and just over 160t km (annual driving performance 30t km). Clio was bought with 110t km used and unfortunately can’t say if or when the timing belt was changed last. uelles Werkstatt offer is at 650€ (incl. water pump) – fair offer? Thank you for your opinion/reviews.

Pig had…
There are things you don’t think…. Tuesday evening: Drive off from the company parking lot, OMI makes some funny noises from behind. Stopped and went around the car. Nothing to see. Continued driving, noise comes and goes. Home at Motor-Talk rummaged….. could be a wheel bearing. Bike bearing damage I had before and drove with it still a couple of hundred kilometers, so soon to consult my screwdriver. Wednesday and Thursday: No noise gets worse so no P Roblem. Friday afternoon woman needed to work, then the OMI through the washing machine at the FOH. Well, if I’m already here, the master can listen to the problem. With the master once driven around the block. Master:”All clear wheel bearings left, shitty work becomes expensive”. For control on the stage. Master wants to turn the left rear wheel by hand, wheel completely loose. Sch.. think wheel bearings probably completely in the Ar… But ….. think, all 5 wheel screws loose, still 3 to 4 Umdre Master and I are looking out of the laundry in a stupid way. Screws are tightened again and OMI is running again. Had this ever been done by one of you. How can the screws be loosened? I had the tires changed in March at the tyre service and after a week had this done there. Devil1967

Engine X20XEV spits in the lower speed range
Hello omega riders and others who know each other! My 2.0 16V (X20XEV, EZ 2/96, currently 118.000 km) causes me grief. For some time now the good spits (or better: swallows up) while accelerating. It’s really only noticeable in the lower to middle speed range. It then runs over 3500/4000 rpm quite normally. It awakens the impression that the injection valve of a cylinder is hanging. It sounds and feels as if it is running only on 3 cylinders when accelerating. . If I then take the gas away and give the gas again, the spook is over, just until the next time. Actually I had thought that the problem comes because he sucks false air, so last week I had the cracker renewed (1 standing bolt off, 1 standing bolt stretched properly, cracker about 20 cm long torn, Krummer pulled away. Has already powerfully whistled!). Now the cracker is closed and the problem of “spitting” still does not go away. You can’t find anything in the error memory (which usually means nothing really good…). MKL doesn’t even “glow” at first. Thanks for the tips! Moonlander

New Holden as Omega Successor
While Opel has been waiting for a decent omega successor for years, Australian GM daughter Holden is allowed to develop and build a new mid-size saloon including a new rear drive platform. What has come out of this can be seen quite well here:http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j70/norbs_photos/4.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j70/norbs_photos/1.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j70/norbs_photos/9.jpg While the old Holden Commodore even more or less a relabelled Omega, this new model was completely developed at Holden in Australia. Why didn’t they just make a joint project out of it that could also have benefited Opel? Give the car an Opel grill, decent engines and fair prices and zack would have Opel again a chic and especially sporty saloon of the upper middle class.

Repairs OMEGA 2.0l 16V
Would like to give an overview of what happens to such a LOPEZ product in 8 years and 140,000km. The price difference to the Mercedes or BMW has been compensated relatively quickly by the expensive repairs from the OMI, so the missing image is no alternative and is my last OPEL. It certainly did not lie at the OPEL staff, which OPEL soche built in the “upper class”. 1.) Engine stutters and goes off. After starting emergency program active. Nocke 2.) Engine switches back to emergency program. Crankshaft sensor defective. 3.) Light noise at the rear axle wheel bearings defective and replaced 4.) Omega all lights from on-road alternator defective. 5.) Engine speed fluctuates around 1000-2000 and sometimes goes off idle. Idle switch replaced 6.) In the deepest winter the heater does not work. Heat exchangers in the dashboard replaced, very expensive and expensive like all As that occur at the OMEGA Air conditioning failed in the hot summer compressor and capacitor exchanged 8.)Already again point 1 after 6 years camshaft sensor 9.)Lighter jerking between 2000-3000 rpm and when accelerating short interruption at 3000U/min ignition cable exchanged 10.) Exhaust manifold leaks planned and sealed 11.) In winter in great cold, the lock of the driver’s door closes only when inside temperature is present in the car. n and much more are added to an Omega driver over short or long to the normal inspection costs and wear parts such as water pump, timing belts, exhaust, brakes, clutch…. Too bad he is not rusted already after 8 years.
