Hello everyone! Three days ago a Turkish truck is striped to a left curve my W-220 Bj.99 (bumper, headlights scratched, kotflügel, mirror, rim everything on the ars…) , my girlfriend was at the wheel and called the police immediately . When the police came the immediately said the truck driver is to blame and he should pay at the spot 125 € penalty , because he drove on right track and that at the drawn line . Police has taken all photos , address , company and s. w.! My girlfriend then got my insurance and then we wanted to call the insurance from the truck driver. Only after 2 hours we reached the and fortunately work together with Gotthar insurances ! Yesterday I was at mercedes and they have unfortunately no evaluator in the house , then have made a estimate about 4000€ and that only by looking at ! I don’t think that’s good of those and now I’m thinking about going to an evaluator or should I wait until the opposing insurance lets one come to me ??? Have now no car has to work but every day ! Should I maybe borrow a car ? Will then the costs be taken over ? But I am glad that my girlfriend nothing happens anything else is replaceable !!! Thank you for your advice !!!

Which 126 has the gene as a classic?
Hi my colleagues, since they also have such a Fred in the department W124, I would like to know what you think, what makes a classic of the series 126? Is it equipment/motorization? Is it the condition (original)? Is it the age (first series or second series)? So I am located at the very rear with the condition of mine and the age: at the end of 1990 year of construction, no longer original engine and currently under construction SEC with 500 engine. Most of you know it yes I find the car must look somewhat original. The only thing that has to mean is that it can be subtly lower (that is, the coupé at least) and have small adjustments that could come from the 80s. What’s not possible is modern tuning on the 126s!

S420 crack of the control chain / sliding rails
Hello, so now it has happened with me, even more abroad 🙁 At approx. 148 tkm and 14 years a little early…. On the third day of a multi-day pass tour, in the morning (before we went up the first pass of the day), at approx. 40-50 kmh slightly uphill: a “Schnalzer” and then “rien ne va plus”, rolled out 15-20m, all lights on…. Diagnosis of the next MB workshop: crack of the control chain by breaking the right slide rail (viewed from the front). l & candles they have removed and with light camera looked inside the pistons, which did not carry any damage from it. Valves they could not check without further cost…. I connect a few photos: – on Pic 1 you see the torn chain (left) – on Pic 2 the chain has laid over each other (right) – on Pic 5, 8 and 9 you see the broken plastic part (is relatively large the thing, so about 15-20 cm long and 10 cm wide….is that at all the sliding rail ?) I will have the car brought to Ö now, and have the engine repaired (option 1) or a replacement engine (option 2) remembered, if a repair does not seem useful. Since the pistons seem OK and the whole thing happened at low speed, I hope for a repair possibility. For tips and information I am grateful, what should be exchanged with an engine revision even more immediately: e.g. – all sliding rails, also the lower – valve bridges etc …………. LG, Chris ps: the Photos were taken with the mobile phone cam and slightly tactile hand, hence the quality of the…

W140 found – Price/ Offer usable?
Hi, when I was searching the internet, I kept stuck with the W140. Except for parking warners, he actually has everything I’m looking for – and very important: NO leather. What do you think about it? According to autofocus, the price is quite luxuriant, to put it nicely. Here I come to a dealer’s truck of about 5900. What would you think would be realistic? I would have to count for a well-installed gas system again about 3-4000, wouldn’t it? Would the km-performance for a gas conversion un d then about 25000km still tolerable in the year? What do reasonably useful return warning costs for the car? A retrofit (must not necessarily be DB-original) would be useful for me (not exactly large parking garage at work). THANK YOU! Joe.

New Kia RIO from the EU? General questions and equipment issues
Hello people, I am currently very interested in a KIA Rio. As an alternative to the domestic new and used car market I have discovered EU new vehicles. At the following dealer, should be no advertisement, I have discovered a nice offer:http://www.neuwagenkauf.com/eu-neuwagen/kia-rio/ In the end the Kia Rio with 109 hp in “exclusive” line with additional Navi, middle arm console and winter package for about 12.600€. But now I have a lot of questions open and hope the one or the other hee user can help me: – Is the 1.4 with 109 hp or rather the sticky 1.25 with 86 hp? -What about insurance with EU vehicles, has someone had problems with you? -What are the Kia Rio warranty conditions in general? -Is it bad that the EU car gets a day registration about 2 weeks before delivery abroad? And what does that explicitly mean for me? -Is the package with keyless entry and parking sensors necessary with Navi with a return camera? -Has anyone from And how much do the original inspections cost? I know questions about questions, but the first more “deure” car wants to be thought out I thank you in advance for your answers, Dominic

Questions about Rims, Nuts and Retrofit Emergency Bike for KIA Picanto MJ2016
Hello all, I ordered a new Kia Picanto Dream Team Edition 1.2 last week. I would like to ask the following questions: 1.) Are original Kia 14″ aluminium rims delivered with the tyre size 165/60-14. If I want to mount steel rims with winter tires (originally from KIA dealers), do I need other wheel nuts? I currently have an Opel Corsa. There it was so that the same wheel screws could be used with original steel and aluminium rims, since in the aluminium rims correspond 2.) The vehicle will only be delivered with a breakdown set. Can a spare wheel or emergency bike be retrofitted? The breakdown set does not work if the flat tire has a greater damage. In addition, I did not want to pollute the aluminium rims and the pressure sensor with the emergency spray in case of emergency. If a standard wheel fits into the pit, up to which tyre size (155/70-13, 165/60-14 or 175/50-15) would it work? On an emergency wheel, which can I use (tire size) e with rim data)? Does eventuel fit that of the Hundai I10? 3.) Does anyone know the further data of the rims (hole circle of the wheel screws, middle diameter on the wheel hub)? 4.) Is there an overview of all approved tyre and rim combinations of KIA? In my Corsa there was a conversion catalog, in which the aluminium/steel rim tyres approved by Opel were listed (including rim letters). There were also other sizes listed with corresponding runs or inserts. would be great if someone could answer one or the other question. I would also be happy about general information and tips about the vehicle. Thanks in advance. LG Corsiman

Kia Rio I (DC) Motor bubbert ???
Hello together, first time the vehicle data: Manufacturer: KIA MOTOR (ROK)Model No.: RIO Kombi (DC) (RS) ccm: 1493 Type: 1.5 16V Year of manufacture: 08/00 – 02/05 KW / PS: 72 / 98 Key No. : 8253 / 329 When I start the car, everything is fine. After a short warm-up phase the engine purrs like a kitten. Also mentioned, behind is a sports exhaust with a really good sound. Otherwise the Kia is completely unobstructed. Now to the problem, in the first gear it pulls normal. the second one is really sluggish up to a certain point ( 30 – 33 kmh ), then there is a thrust as if a turbo is in use. the whole goes on in the third and fourth gear. The fifth gear is then again problem-free up to the next Macke. Then comes a slope in the course of the road the engine starts to bubbling and I can then give gas as I want, there is nothing more. then I have to see that I come to the right and turn off the car. After a short waiting time can This game is unfortunately repeated very often lately. It’s not quite as funny on the highway (strips) when the children are sitting in the car. Finally I changed: air hose (was torn) spark plugs (that wasn’t it) valve cover seal coolant thermostat Maybe someone from you has some advice, or unfortunately someone already had such a problem?I thank you already for your answers!!! Cooling problems
Dear people Obviously this is a peculiarity of my new achievement (well, neither nue nor… ) from Toyota had to switch to Ford Escord 1.6 16V CLX petroler, since father rust has nibbled up the Japanese. Since I have the thing – problems !! After approx. 100 km – off. Diagnosis according to mechanics cylinder head dichung died, since something with the cooling control did not work. Instructions from the mech. after the return : “Keep the temperature indicator in mind”! Hab ́das brav gema cht for approx. 100 km – everything ok! BUT the coolant still “cooked” on arrival – and then a puddle was created under the car. – Water pump ? I would like to check the whole thing, or to renew some parts. But am not sure already when looking for spare parts, what kind of model do I have Mk6 or 7 ? According to the car ID the car could have been built March 94. Can someone please help me there first and then possibly because of the techn The “repair book” I already got, but it’s always very new to me. Thanks Wilhelm

Advice SLK 350
Hello, I have a nice W203er (successor of a catastrophic A6-4f), which agrees so that I decided not to exchange it for a W204, but instead to invest my reserved finances in a small second car. I was thinking of a SLK of the R 171 series, Bj 2005-2006. Now I have already driven a nice SLK200 sample and it worked partly already “efforts”, as far as the power is concerned. Now I have the following offer in the Au SLK 350 How are your experiences with the SLK350, i.e. susceptibility to motor+7G-Tronic, what is the average consumption if you want to step on it? Is there something, well, special, what you should pay attention to when buying a R171, so typical used car things or something 🙂 Tax and insurance are surprisingly moderate and do not exceed those of the SLK200 compared to the power gain.
