  • Cali moth – for years….

Hello all, I have a 2.0 16V Last edition. 88TKM and everything original. The car should become a vintage car. The underbody and the cavities were preserved last year at the classic car specialist. The winter is over. From today (seasonal license plate) I can also drive again. Unfortunately the winter break did not do my Cali so well. In the garage was a large oil stain (actually a lake). As it looks at first glance the head seal. Actually I wanted this With proper oil loss and finished tires this will certainly be nothing with the TÜV. But it also makes no sense to put in a lot of money now and then put in the garage with new tires for a few years. I think I will moth it right away and start the repairs only in a few years – how do you see that? What should I take into account when mothing so that he will be well over the next years of course he is parked in a garage. I am grateful for all the tips. Thank you very much Andreas

  • Stand-up heating switch without function

Hello all, I have a Sprinter w906 316CDI, 163hp, built in 2013. The switch for the heater has not shown any reaction for some time, so the heater doesn’t start and doesn’t glow either. At times the malfunction coincided with the attempt to expand the radio (which I did not do after all). I already checked: – fuses: all ok! – plug-in radio and heating (if accessible): everything ok! – diagnostic device icarsoft v2.0 recognizes the standh no eitzung and therefore no error message. – Tank is full – heating controller on full What could that be? ECU defective? Where exactly is this? At Mercedes I was told: Stand heating would be normal after this time, especially if you don’t start the heater longer. But if the switch doesn’t even light up, then it can be that there is no signal to the stand heating and the heater is ok per se, right? Thanks for your help! Best regards Alex

  • Turbidity value too high at AU

I have a Sprinter 208 cdi from the year 2005 with a mileage of 303,000 km. After I have eliminated all damage to the engine technology, I had the AU done once. I renewed the following things in advance: LMM, both vacuum control valves, vacuum box throttle valve and the AGR valve cleaned. Filters and oils are new. I drove the car for about an hour at 3000 tours with ARAL Super Diesel before I went to the workshop. Unfortunately the Trübu was located ngwert at the first measurement at 1.1 then at the 2nd attempt at 1.3 and at the 3rd at 1.4. AGR valve is clean and works as far as I can judge impeccable. If I give gas in out of the idle the engine throws out a small black cloud first. Does anyone have any idea why the value is so high? Greeting Dirk

  • Sprinter 903 does not accept gas

Hello everyone, my Sprinter 316er from 2002, 272000km does not take any more gas in the range 1500-2000 revolutions, I drive and it always does as if I had gone from the accelerator pedal, if I press the pedal further it comes again and runs at higher speeds cleanly, at the branch error memory was read out and found nothing. Also he has for 2 years a ticking noise from the engine control unit ( like relay switching ) and the driving light becomes light and d unkel. The AGR valve, the brake light switch, rail pressure sensor and the accelerator pedal have been changed before, the LMM and the alternator are still from 2002, I ordered both now and will change them. Does anyone else have a tip for me? Greetings

  • grip driver side a column (mb-code 75)

hello people, have another question. mb would like for 2 grips (a-pillar re. and li.) incl. installation 301€ incl. VAT. grips incl. mounting material for both sides cost 131€ without VAT. the installation is too expensive for me as early retirement and you can certainly do that yourself. for consequential damage I have to wh self-exploit, since the retrofitting of the daimler ag is not tested or released. but please someone can tell me how I get the covering of the a-pillars and whether it doesn’t matter in which r height the handles are attached, or are there exrta predestined to put for it? thank you for your infos ??

  • Direct control of glow plugs – is there anything against it?

Hello Sprinter-Spezis, since my 313 CDI is a bit annoying to me because of its unwillingness and I need a quick solution (also because of lack of time), here the question in the round, if something speaks against, if I turn on the glow plugs by hand by means of push buttons and extra relays, i.e. glow relays and what else is in it except bursting. My question is above all prophylactic, if I do not find on the fast the error and not the right parts Glow candles are new! Thanks already in advance!

  • Calibra Turbo – value of the car?

Hello, I have a Calibra Turbo from 1993 with 215 tkm from 1st hand on the watch stand with me, completely original (no lowering, with all letterings, without phase etc.). Car is check book maintained and has no technical defects (all-wheel, climate, Turbo everything possible). From the outside there is no rust (wheel runs etc.), I still have to look under floor. Except on leather and sliding roof he has everything important on board (airbag, climate etc.). ssiker pick up (have already my Vectra Turbo) , or is it more for the end consumer in the kilometers? What could the car realistically still be worth to a lover ? Thanks and greeting

  • The Uglyest Calibras – Photo Collection

In agreement with the moderator, I will open a thread in which only pictures and comments about the shadow side of the beautiful Calis are posted, namely the brutal and ugly verbathe. I have recently encountered many Calis, which are absolutely terribly unsightly fashioned, with monster faces and such DEATH-HISSE tuning attempts, which actually achieve exactly the opposite. The Calibrans of such vehicles do not fear any such terrible spoiler. urück, in some people I have the feeling that they deliberately cover up the Cali, because you can’t be so blind at all. An example: http://seker-tuning.de/B_monster_opel_calibra.JPG Be happy about your examples. Note: Please stay peaceful! Provocations from other forums etc. will be reported immediately.

  • Oil tub Question what’s up there?

Hello, I’m new here. I inherited the Calibra (2.0l 1992 136tkm) from my father and of course he loses oil slightly. But I want to keep it (drive 518Touring). I am pleasantly surprised by the consumption (7,3l fully loaded at 130km/h)!!! I once got the seal for the round part that is installed in the front of the oil tank, because I thought it would come out there. There’s also a cable on it. Is that the Ól pump? Can I change the seal without taking off the oil tank, so just the three screws. Since I got 2 seals from Opel (outside/inside?) I think that the oil tank has to be removed as the inner part falls inwards, right? I found nothing in the search!
