  • Accident damage, causer is not the holder

Tach, just had an accident where someone from the side street took the lead. Scattered left behind me police bulli, in about 150m zipper procedure. Briefly accelerated, a 5 BMW pulls right out of the side street and slows down. I didn’t think anything about it, suddenly he prefers a good 2-3m further ahead, brakes again appruptly and remains right in front of me. Had to get into the iron and noticed that I was only slipping and the BMW is getting closer and closer. Again from d he brake down, evaded and with the right front wheel wheel stroked the bumper of the BMW. If I hadn’t evaded, I would have hit him fully. Witnesses: Police in the Bulli Result: Advance failure with accident, accident report I have in my hand damage: Shram and bump on the wheel wheel, bumper stands off from the fender…. fender must be replaced and painted The driver gives to brake and accelerator to have kicked at the same time. He is not the holder and wants the damage What do you suggest? 1. In the Audi Workshop, have accident damage eliminated and send invoice to the driver? 2. Report to my insurance company, which reports the damage to the opposing insurance, whereby the liability of the holder pays and the driver can buy back the damage from the insurance company?!? 3. Get expert reports and send them to the opposing insurance company or the driver? 4. ….. ? Can I charge a replacement car additionally? I have to drive 60km every day…

  • Angle grinder running direction cutting disc

At Amazon, I bought the following cutting disc to cut wood with my angle grinder: “Hard metal flex disc for wood GRAFF Termit 125mm – angle grinder Multi Wheel cutting disc (wood carving disc) for cutting wood, plastic. ” After unpacking, I found no indication of the direction of rotation. As I read over and over again the warning to operate a cutting disc only with correct running direction, I asked the seller. After a good week, the following answer came: “Since about the body My question is: is this a technically correct answer? I have the impression that an answer, e.g. from China, has been translated with an automatic translation tool. The statement with the “fine grains of tungsten carbide”, and that it results from the fact that there is no clear direction of rotation, is not conclusive for me. g. Is there perhaps an expert who can make a statement about this?

  • Power source for mobile workshop

Moin together, I already have a little battery tool, but of course not everything. I am looking for a solution to operate e.g. my stand boring machine, or sometimes a side grinder, belt grinder and co mobile. What are there besides gasoline generators still solutions? Maybe any power benches that can be charged afterwards on the cigarette lighter? Voltage converters will certainly not be the best solution in the performance with a 60Ah car battery. I’m looking forward to your opinions. Greeting Daniel

  • Conversion to H4 => Battery is sucked out

Hey guys. I converted the light to H4 on my Yamaha YBR 125. So I’m not the first to have the alternator no problems with it. It delivers 115 watts at 14.0 volts at 5,000 rpm (according to workshop manual). Of this 60 watts (previously 35 watts) go to the H4 light and about 15 watts to rear, standlight and speedometer lighting, i.e. about 75 watts. Should therefore not be a problem. Nevertheless, the light seems to suck out the battery. If I use the E-starter (and a round of time) I notice the longer and more often I drive, turn it off and press the E-starter, the less “will it”. Here in short form what has already been tested: -LiMa was measured, resistance & output voltage (30-180 volts) fit -Controller could not be measured (is located directly under the tank); but should fit, because the battery with the old 35 watts of light is constant 14,0-14.2 volts -lead acid battery was replaced for a new lead-gel battery -Power verb smoke of the new light has been measured, with 4.91 A (+-3%) is relatively accurate at 60 watts – on the battery with switched on H4 light are only 12,9-13,2V depending on the speed – creep currents I exclude, because it does not cause the problems overnight, but only after it was driven I am with my Latin at the end. Next the tail light is replaced with an LED tail light, it saves only 5 watts while driving, but 21 watts when braking are already something. MfG Iumak

  • MT-Blog as a “file” for FAQ articles?

Hello, I am with two colleagues FAQ author in the area of vehicle maintenance here at MT. Currently after restructuring the vehicle maintenance forum (new subforums still without FAQ author rights) or why always changes to “our” FAQ happen. The exact reason is not known to me, but also should not be the core of the discussion here. Because personally I was never a friend of the “MT-FAQ-software-solution”. One does not write at all IN the FAQ, but links existing forum- or blog-artik el in the FAQ and can edit it. If changes occur in the forum, for example, the article is moved or edited or even deleted by a moderator, this has a direct impact on the FAQ. Usually we do not get this at all, but at some point the question of a user comes up, what is going on with the FAQ, how currently happened. My idea was to create a separate MT blog (!), which serves as a storage location for the FAQ articles. So we authors find For example, a “FAQ worthy” article, copy it into this blog and link it to the FAQ. Or we write articles directly into the blog and use them in the FAQ. So the MT blog is not supposed to replace the FAQ but should serve as a storage location for the FAQ articles in the background. Blog authors = FAQ authors. Why have ??? Since the existence of an MT blog is currently linked to a user account, would be – if one of us did – this user ” This should not be the case. The user could turn his back on MT and the FAQ would be history. In addition, FAQ authors could be added, others (perhaps even the blog owner!) could go. That would not be clever. So after a long explanation now my question: could MT itself (i.e. a moderator or even administrator or whoever with sufficient rights) start such a blog, use the current FAQ authors as blog authors and we could use the blog use articles as a storage location for FAQ? And so regardless of the existence of individual existing FAQ authors, i.e. in MT-Hand? So it would be clearer, in my view better editable and we would be free from moving, deleting or other changes in the forum. This would not have any unwanted effects on the FAQ. Would this be possible? Just one question, please don’t start any activities yet! I just wanted to know it first before I started thinking about something, which maybe even is not possible or tolerated. Besides, we talk about this naturally in our FAQ-authors-round before and it does not grow on the crap of a single Thank you! Greetings, DiSchu

  • Carlift Recommendation 2 – 2.5T Amazon

Hi together, I’m currently looking for a good jack. I’ve already read some threads about it here, with most of them tending to expensive, but apparently also good, brands like Rodcraft. Unfortunately, I don’t have the biggest budget, so I was looking for amazon and had found some. I would list some here, but you can also recommend some (approx. to 100€). a normal 2T – 2.5T is enough. . It would occasionally be used for tyre changes or if you had to do something short under the vehicle. What I found so far: Cargova:https://www.amazon.de/…/ref=sr_1_8?… NTG:https://www.amazon.de/…/?… DEUBA:https://www.amazon.de/…/?… VERDA:https://www.amazon.de/…/?… where the latter is a whole set, but the lifting can not be controlled (but I’m not quite sure). It would be important to let off a controlled one. Thanks in advance

  • Very indiscriminate

Hello people! was always a vw-driver, except for 10!! years ago, where I drove opel, because the high-nutness of the vw-mans brought me to the palm. but was unfortunately the worst opel-time. therefore I returned 5 years ago to vw again (first 4er, now 5er golf sportline 140ps dsg). in addition to my great interest for the eos, which I have already driven, and who from the rear area (with open roof) squeaked quite violently, I stayed yesterday also with an o I also drove it, was a cosmo with all kinds of things (leather saddle brown, 17″ern etc.) and a diesel with 150ps. because I am about 50 thousand kilometers a year on the road, anyway only one diesel comes into consideration. but one thing I can tell you: the twin top was much more sporty than the eos, pushed enormously with this motor, was also extremely quiet – no nailing or rappelling – and above all there was no noise, neither vo m dach, nowhere else. since I was already driving bmw, the whole package strongly reminded me of the bmw. for a front-driver no understeer, extremely handy, excellent brake. I was really surprised, didn’t think that opel has caught up in such a way. now I’m indiscriminate, especially because the twin top looks really sporty and a decent tick is cheaper. just want to tell, although I am actually vw-driver and probably from you ” be stoned”!

  • Register Lexus Navigation System!

Hello! Has someone registered his Lexus navigation system? So if you create a Lexus online account, you can register your navigation system in order to enter the route already in the previous one and other small things! So the creation of a Lexus account still worked perfectly, but when I wanted to register the navigation system with the “device ID code”, I get the message all the time “It has gone a bit wrong” Did it on my iPhone tried several times, also on the PC (unfortunately also from Apple, so I don’t know now whether it might be Apple)! Did anyone get that?

  • Lexus GS 450h

Hello, I drove a Lexus GS 450h sample a while ago, and was immediately enthusiastic. However, the newer GS models are only available with Euro 6, and I have the fear that if there are any driving bans for petrol engines, I can no longer drive into the city center with my hybrid drive that has no petrol particulate filter. How do you see that?
